BhashaSetu is a language-learning app for Hindi and Kannada. This page describes what we collect, why, and for how long.

What we collect

Your lesson progress — completed lessons, XP, streaks, hearts, and achievements — so it can be restored if you reinstall or switch devices.

Usage events — things like opening the app, starting or finishing a lesson, and answering an exercise — so we can tell whether the app is actually helping people learn. These events carry no personal information: no email, no name, no free text you've typed. Each event is tied only to an anonymous account identifier.

If you choose to create an account with an email address or Google sign-in, we store that email so you can sign back in. Your progress isn't tied to having an account — it starts on first launch, before you sign up for anything.

We don't use advertising identifiers and we don't track you across other apps.

How long we keep it

Usage events are kept for 24 months. Progress is kept indefinitely, because it's your record of what you've learned — unless you delete your account, in which case it's removed. See deleting your account.

Who we share it with

Nobody. We don't sell or share your data with third parties. The app talks to our own backend (Supabase) to store progress and to a crash reporting service (Sentry) that receives only technical details about a crash — which screen, which app version — never who you are.
